What is Make?
Make (formerly Integromat) is a visual automation tool. You build "scenarios" by dragging modules onto a canvas: a trigger, then steps that read, change and send data between apps. Make connects to more than 3,500 apps and has AI modules and an AI Agent feature, so a scenario can call a model to write, sort or decide.
Make is a favorite of small businesses and agencies because the visual canvas is easy to follow and the entry price is low.
How much does Make cost?
Make bills in credits. Since August 27 credits replaced "operations" as the billing unit. Most module actions use 1 credit; some AI features using Make's own AI provider use more. Router and error handler modules use none. A scenario run can use anywhere from two to thousands of credits.
| Plan | Price / month | Included | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 1,000 credits | 15-minute minimum interval between runs. |
| Core | $9 | Not listed | $0.90 per 1,000 credits, billed yearly. |
| Pro | $16 | Not listed | $1.60 per 1,000 credits. Priority execution. |
| Teams | $29 | Not listed | $2.90 per 1,000 credits. Team roles. |
These are annual billing prices at the entry tier of 10,000 credits a month. Make's slider lets you buy more credits; we estimate higher tiers at the same price per 1,000 credits, so check the slider for your exact tier. Monthly billing costs about 15% more. When you run out, you can buy extra credits in packs of 1,000 or 10,000, or turn on auto-purchase.
For an AI agent, we estimate credits per run as the number of AI steps plus two (the trigger and a final action like "update CRM"). A lead follow-up with 2 AI steps uses about 4 credits.
What is included, and what is not?
- Included: unlimited active scenarios on paid plans, scheduling down to the minute, 3,500+ apps, the Make API.
- Not included: AI model tokens when you connect your own OpenAI, Claude or other key
- Not included: Some AI modules use extra credits
- Data storage and transfer scale with your credits (5 GB transfer and 10 MB storage per 10,000 credits).
What does Make cost at 3 business sizes?
A lead follow-up agent using GPT-6.1 Terra through your own OpenAI key, 22 working days, no buffer.
| Size | Leads per day | Plan | AI model | Platform | Total per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small | 10 | Free | $1.21 | $0.00 | $1.21 |
| Medium | 50 | Core | $6.03 | $9.00 | $15.03 |
| Large | 200 | Core | $24.11 | $15.84 | $39.95 |
Make is very cheap for short workflows. The bill grows with the number of steps, though: a research agent with 8 AI steps running 20 times a day needs about 4,400 credits a month and costs about $44.06 including the model.
What hidden costs should you watch for?
- Polling triggers. A scenario that checks for new data every few minutes uses credits even when nothing is new.
- Iterators. Looping over 50 rows means 50 times the credits for every step inside the loop.
- Make's AI provider. AI features that run through Make's own provider can use more than 1 credit per action.
- Expiring credits. Unused credits expire at the end of the term.
How can you lower your Make bill?
- Use webhooks instead of polling where the app supports them.
- Filter early so unwanted items stop before the AI step.
- Use aggregators to process many items in one step.
- Pay yearly once you know your usage.
- Connect your own AI key and pick a low-cost model for simple steps.
What are the main Make alternatives?
For the same 50 leads a day:
- Make: $15.03 a month.
- n8n charges per full run, not per step: $30.03. See the n8n cost calculator.
- Zapier Agents includes the AI but has small activity limits: needs a custom Enterprise plan at this volume. See the Zapier Agents cost calculator.
- GoHighLevel if you also need a CRM. See the GoHighLevel cost calculator.
Who is Make best for?
Good fit
- Small businesses automating simple, short workflows
- People who like a clear visual canvas
- Low budgets: the entry plan is very cheap
Not the best fit
- Very long workflows with many steps per run
- Phone agents without a separate voice tool
What are the key Make features?
- Visual scenarios: Drag modules onto a canvas and see data flow between apps.
- 3,500+ apps: Plus HTTP and custom apps for anything with an API.
- AI modules and AI Agents: Call OpenAI, Claude and others, or use Make's own AI provider.
- Routers and filters: Split and filter data; routers do not use credits.
- Scheduling: Run scenarios down to every minute on paid plans.
- Error handling: Error handler modules that do not use credits.
How do you set up Make?
The steps below show the general setup. Button names change often, so follow the idea of each step rather than exact labels.
- Sign up free. The free plan includes 1,000 credits a month to try things.
- Create a scenario. Add a trigger module such as a new form entry or a webhook.
- Connect your AI key. Add an OpenAI or Claude module and connect your own API key.
- Build the steps. Add the AI step, then actions such as sending an email or updating a CRM.
- Add filters. Place filters before the AI step so only real leads or messages go through.
- Run once and check. Use 'Run once' with sample data and check each module's output and credit use.
- Schedule or switch on. Turn the scenario on and pick how often it runs.
- Watch credits. Check credit use in the first week and pick the right plan size.
Tips from setup
- Use webhooks instead of polling triggers.
- Use aggregators to handle many items in one step.
How do you calculate your Make cost?
- What should your Make scenario do?. Pick the job closest to yours. We fill in typical usage for that job, so you do not need to know anything about tokens.
- How many times will it run a day?. Use a normal working day. A rough guess is fine, and we count 22 working days a month.
- How many steps does it have?. Make counts usage per step, so more steps means a bigger bill.
- Read your answer. You see one monthly figure, the cost of each Make task and what makes up the total.

How should you budget for Make?
No-code agent builders charge for runs, credits or activities, and each tool counts them differently. One customer request might be a single run on one platform and a dozen credits on another, so comparing plan prices alone can mislead you. Always convert to the cost of one complete task.
To budget for Make, build one real workflow and see how much usage a single run consumes. Multiply that by your monthly volume, then add the AI model cost if it is billed separately. Leave room to grow, since crossing a plan limit is what usually makes the bill jump.

How accurate is this Make cost calculator?
It uses prices from the official Make pricing page, last checked on November 3, 2026, and our own averages for typical usage. Treat your result as a planning estimate. Your real cost depends on your prompts, call lengths and busy days, so add about 20% and test with real work.
What does the Make cost calculator leave out?
It does not count these costs: AI model tokens when you connect your own OpenAI, Claude or other key; Some AI modules use extra credits. It also leaves out tax and the time it takes to build and check your agent.
